The Climbing Experience

For many, of all ages, who try rock climbing for the first time, the apparently simple act of climbing a wall provides a surprising wide variety of challenges. Not only does climbing present the obvious requirements of agility, strength and nerve, but also just as essential are the abilities to problem solve and co-ordinate efficient movement in response to the wall. This requires a sensitivity and awareness that can achieve much more than brute force alone. The mental engagement as well as the high physical demands of this sport is what keeps even the experienced climber enchanted and gripped by this unique activity.
